Jim Ebert - is the principal of Mid Coast Reedbed Wastewater Systems. He has had 35 years experience as a plumber. After many years of installing and /or repairing wastewater systems (septic tanks and trenches, and aerated water treatment systems) and observing their limitations, Jim was looking for a system that would better service his clients in terms of reliability and expense.
In 2004 after meeting Environmental Consultant John Craven he began installing reedbed (and sandfilter) systems. He is very happy with the results from these systems and has installed many systems including one at a school in Armidale which services over 200 people.
John Craven (B.Appl, Sc. Hons)- is a (self-employed) Environmental and Planning Designer/Consultant who has designed and installed many hundred of on-site systems, since 1993, servicing from one to three hundred people - including domestic systems, community title developments, a tourist resort and two schools.
The systems designed have included reedbeds, sandfilters and composting toilets, although reedbeds have dominated. All systems have been custom designed to suit site conditions and clients' needs.
John is an experienced Planner and can assist clients with development applications and planning issues.
